How we designed and developed a high-performance website for one of Melbourne's leading Indian food distributors, with real results from day one.
About the Client
Bharat Foods is a Melbourne-based Indian food distributor and own-brand manufacturer supplying Indian grocery stores, retailers, and food businesses across Australia. They produce authentic Indian staples such as spices, grains, lentils, pickles, sweets and snacks, including premium Basmati rice, atta, toor dal, garam masala, turmeric, and handcrafted sweets.
Their B2B wholesale portal at store.bharatfoodsaus.com serves trade buyers directly. With 500+ products and 50,000+ happy customers, Bharat Foods had the substance. They needed a website that showed it.
The Problem
Existing website didn't reflect the scale, quality, or 15-year heritage of the business
No clear distinction between consumer brand and B2B wholesale operation
Poor mobile experience: core audience browses predominantly on mobile
No SEO foundation: missing meta tags, schema markup, and keyword structure entirely
No clear entry point or CTA for wholesale buyers
What We Did
01
Clean, brand-aligned design communicating both consumer and B2B identities. Mobile-first responsive layout built around Bharat's warm heritage aesthetic: earthy tones, premium food photography, and a confident brand voice. Clear product category structure and strong visual hierarchy from discovery to enquiry.
02
Fast-loading, fully responsive build. Optimised image and video assets, including a cinematic spice-grinding video on the homepage. Clean code across all pages: homepage, product range, about, founders, and contact. B2B portal integrated into the nav for wholesale buyers at store.bharatfoodsaus.com.
03
Meta titles and descriptions on every page, LocalBusiness schema markup, sitemap submitted to Google Search Console, keyword-optimised headings and copy, and Google Analytics 4 integrated from day one for ongoing tracking.
The Results
The new Bharat Foods website launched with a full SEO foundation, a mobile-first experience, and a clear path for both consumers and wholesale buyers, delivering measurable results from the moment it went live.
